Sine Nomine, with Anne Lyman directing, opens its 17th season with a delectable pairing of songs by two of the greatest composers of the High Renaissance: Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1594) and Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594). We invite you to stay local in Rome, at the Cappella Giulia of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, with Palestrina’s serene, well-balanced and smooth-flowing musical lines. Then travel the European continent with the daring, impassioned music of di Lasso. Immerse yourself in all this beautifully crafted music!
