Fifty years ago, in April 1977, passionate music lovers and professionals came together to create the Early Music Guild of Seattle. Five decades later, Early Music Seattle stands as a leader in the field, presenting some of the world’s most exciting early music artists to Seattle audiences.

To celebrate this remarkable milestone and officially launch our 50th Anniversary celebrations—which will continue throughout the 2027–2028 season—EMS welcomes the acclaimed Paris-based orchestra Le Concert des Nations: 55 musicians led by the legendary conductor Jordi Savall in a monumental performance of Beethoven’s Third and Fifth Symphonies. Join us for this unforgettable event—the highlight of the season—and experience EMS for the very first time at the Taper Auditorium.

Public Transit: Sound Transit’s light rail has a stop directly below Benaroya Hall, the Symphony Station. Benaroya Hall is served by numerous bus routes.
Parking: The 430-car underground garage at Benaroya Hall provides direct access from the enclosed parking area into the Hall via elevators leading to The Boeing Company Gallery. Other paid parking is available in the area.
Entrances: Barrier-free entry is available through the main entrance on Third Avenue and can be accessed via elevator through the Benaroya Hall parking garage or the University Street Link Light Rail Station.
Accessibility: Benaroya Hall is barrier-free and meets or exceeds all criteria established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Bathrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on every level of Benaroya Hall. Gender neutral and family restrooms are located on the Orchestra Front level and are accessible by elevator.
