Kiya Tabassian, Director of Ensemble Constantinople, invites you to a listening session! You’ll hear recorded music that inspired Mr. Tabassian to draw connections between Middle Eastern traditions and the music of J. S. Bach. You’ll also hear a live demonstration of some of the specialized instruments used by the musicians of the ensemble. This interactive presentation sets the stage for Ensemble Constantinople’s performance on Sunday afternoon at Town Hall Seattle.

Originally, the Festival was scheduled to feature the performance of East is East by Infusion Baroque during this time. However, due to the new visa restrictions imposed on January 1, 2026, through Presidential Proclamation 10998, only three members of the originally scheduled ensemble will be able to attend the festival. Nevertheless, we are delighted to welcome guest artists Vidita Kanniks, Sallynee Amawat, and Rona Nadler for a scaled-down and special presentation of their “East is East” program at the Seattle Center for Chamber Music on Saturday, February 14 at 4:00 p.m. All Festival Pass Holders and East is East ticket holders will receive updated tickets to the HiFi Session with Kiya Tabassian and preferred entry for the afternoon performance.
