One of the oldest string instruments of the human family, the harp has traveled to many cultures, where its design and playing techniques have changed and expanded. In this “family reunion” of harps far-removed across time and geography, we’ll accompany harpists Tomoko Sugawara (Japan/US), who plays the ancient kugo harp with the Eurasia Consort as well as medieval harps, and Grammy-winning master Eduardo Betancourt of Rumbarcco, who bridges Venezuela’s rich joropo-style legacy with jazz and contemporary music.

Seating Type: General Admission
Public Transit: Lightrail stop at Symphony Station, walk north (uphill), multiple bus lines stop close to 3^rd and Union.
Parking: Pay for Parking is available at WAC, LAZ Parking at 6^th & Union, US Bank Parking Centre.
Entrances: Come to the corner of 6^th and Union
ADA needs: Both entrances are accessible by ramp.
Bathrooms: Single person bathrooms are available on both levels.
