Northwest Folklife Festival
Delaram is a passionate Tombak player whose music carries deep emotion and authenticity in every beat. Blending traditional rhythms with her own artistic touch, she draws in audiences and brings each performance to life.
Guided by the renowned musician Navid Afghah, Delaram’s musical journey started at a young age and has taken her from the historic streets of Shiraz to stages around the world. She has performed at iconic venues like the Azadi and Hafez concert halls, becoming a familiar name in the Shiraz cultural scene. Her dedication to the craft led to numerous performances at Shiraz University, where she collaborated with fellow musicians and honed her unique style.
Since moving to the U.S., Delaram has continued to share her love for the Tombak, performing at universities like UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Riverside, and UC San Diego. Her music bridges cultures, creating meaningful connections with diverse audiences. She has also taken the stage at venues like the Pardis Center, Seattle Town Hall, Seattle City Hall, the Performing Arts Theater in Seattle, and local spots in Bellingham, always bringing energy and passion to her performances. Delaram will be joined in this program by oud player Gus Denhard.
